Incorporated on 24th January 1990. Established under other name in 1962, the Company operates as a Ship chandler and Ship supplier in the port of Walvis Bay and Luderitz. Namibia Ship Chandlers (Pty) Ltd is the largest ship chandler in Namibia, offering competitive and efficient ship chandling services since the 1960’s. The company services most of the reputable shipping lines calling Walvis Bay as well as clients from the off-shore supply industry and the local fishing industry. Our vast experience, knowledge of the market and existing supply chain infrastructure makes us the leader in our field.
Namibia Ship Chandlers (Pty) Ltd has a large warehousing capacity for dry, chilled and frozen goods, enabling the company to satisfy the needs of our customers at the shortest notice. The established network of quality suppliers allows the company to provide wide range of products at highly competitive prices. Around the clock deliveries ensure that our clients receive their orders in time as we understand the importance of the time factor in the shipping industry. In addition the company exports and trades in food commodities such as frozen fish, frozen chicken, frozen meat and canned fish. The Company employs 42 permanent staff members. To facilitate easy and accurate order collection and delivery, our sales staff is fluent in a number of languages – English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Bulgarian and other.

Community Development
Namibia Ship Chandlers (Pty) Ltd is committed to social responsibility and very conscious of the significant socioeconomic and educational challenges facing our country. We have undertaken a number of development initiatives with focus on primary and secondary education.
The latest social investment program of the company involves support for the Walvis Bay International School Bursary Trust for previously disadvantaged kids, allowing children the opportunity to receive the best possible education in Walvis Bay.
Namibia Ship Chandlers (Pty) Ltd is currently sponsoring the educational bursaries for two kids while being actively involved in a number of other sponsorship activities.
We also support various churches and children homes based in Walvis Bay and Kuisebmond with food donations on a regular basis.
Namibia Ship Chandlers (Pty) Ltd. is proud to announce the completion of the company employee housing project in Kuisebmond. As a result, the company provides a subsidized housing for some of its most needy workers in the form of one bedroom flats at 50% of the market going rate. The company block of flats was completed in 2017 and comprises of 16 one bedroom units. (Photo)
The company is an ongoing sponsor of the PLAYTIME Youth Development Trust contributing towards youth development through sports.
